Miaka and Yui have always been best friends. Yet their peaceful life was shattered when they opened the book "The Universe of the Four Gods". Upon opening the book, the two girls got sucked into the world of the Four Gods in the country of Konan, where a young man named Tamahome saved them from trouble. However, Yui was taken back to the real world. Miaka soon found out that she was to be the Suzaku no Miko and it was her duty to gather up her sensei and summon the God Suzaku. Wanting to go home as soon as possible Miaka agreed. Unknown to Miaka however, Yui came back but in Kutou, the enemy of Konan. When the two best friends finally found each other again, Nakago the Kutou General had already manipulated Yui into feeling betrayed by Miaka. Putting her trust to Nakago, Yui agreed to become the Seiryuu and the Suzaku no Miko's enemy.
Miaka Yúki is an average teenage girl who gets pulled into a book. The Universe of the Four God, the book about ancient China. She has alot of fun and incounters alot of danger, she also finds love, Tamahome, and learns some horrible truths. This other world sure is interesting...
